The face of interior design: Tanya Wassen

Tanya Wassen has an incredible talent for refining the aesthetics and tastes of her clients. With many years of experience and a background in design, she creates conscious, organized and functional interiors for a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Originally from Kamloops, Tanya worked as a project coordinator for a developer and builder in the city before moving to Calgary in 2009 to earn her bachelor’s degree in interior design from Mount Royal University and certification from the National Council for Interior. Design Qualification.

“My experience in an array of different types of projects and education sets me apart. I don’t just select materials and finishes, I tailor each area to meet the specific function and design each space with exquisite detail. meticulous and I see projects through from the planning phase to construction,” says Tanya.

“My design process is a thorough investigation with clients at the beginning. This process includes the creation of schematic plans and concept designs through to full design development for every detail of the project, drafting of construction drawings and specifications and supervising the construction phase. That’s really the whole thing when people come to see me.

In 2017, Tanya returned to Kamloops with her husband and young son.

It was then that she decided to launch her dream interior design practice and started Spot On Interior Design which quickly took off.

Fast forward nearly 5 years, with an engaging portfolio of beautifully designed spaces around Kamloops, Tanya looks forward to Spot On’s continued growth and success in 2022.
