Leeds United appoint local interior design firm to ‘transform’ new media suite

Commercial interior designers, Design Tonic, have completed a new media suite at Leeds United’s training ground at Thorpe Park, near Wetherby.

Designed to match that of Elland Road, the area that was previously sleeping quarters has been “completely transformed” by the Leeds-based company.

Director Joe Darcy commented: “Having worked with Leeds United now for over 10 years, this was a great opportunity to modernize the area and provide facilities worthy of a premiership team.

“Having already created a media suite at Elland Road, the new media suite at Thorpe Arch was a much needed upgrade to the site and will also be used for club presentations, conferences and space for the press to work with the right facilities .

“The room itself is strongly marked; from the logos on the auditorium seats to the artwork on the ceiling, there’s certainly no doubting which football club this suite belongs to. The images in this room are broadcast globally, which means it was important that we included this branding element and ensured we had the perfect designs for such a large global audience.

“Certain elements from the previous Suite have been incorporated into the new continuity space. Dark grays and upholstery are featured throughout, creating a sexy and chic vibe.

“The wooden cladding and signature lighting help soften these tones and really complement the room; all in all a stunning space that any premier league team would be proud to call their own.

As well as benefiting the club, the new media suite will be available for hire, which will benefit both businesses and the local community.
