Purpose of the position

  • Assess, track and report value creation through client solutions and partnerships within defined metrics and benchmarks.
  • Clearly articulate and document business, stakeholder, solution and transition requirements. Assist the company in the creation of business cases and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Investigate and study current practices; design changes, business and industry trends and explore areas of collaboration with potential partners
  • Initiate, drive and report on the periodic reassessment of existing relationships to enhance value and identify new sources of value for the client, partners and the bank.
  • To analyze trends and highlight new areas of risk patterns that require mitigation

Main responsibilities
Client strategy and partnerships:

  • Works with various business units and customer solutions teams to evaluate customer solutions and partnerships
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to execute joint priorities and roadmaps with partners and help resolve critical issues across the organization.
  • Provide feedback on customer metrics metrics to drive growth and achieve scalability aligned with strategic value drivers.
  • Keeps abreast of market developments and competition in order to provide innovative and value-added services to customers in all segments.
  • Constantly analyze the industry, explore new areas of collaboration, development or market maturity, and see how this can be replicated as a best practice or first market innovation for the Bank
  • Constantly staying ahead of customer trends and industry patterns, creating new frontiers for the bank to explore.

Products and Solutions:

  • Works and collaborates directly with the Customer Solutions and Engineering teams to deliver solutions to customers and partners.
  • Provides input into the design, development and implementation of products and solutions suitable for the entire value chain with digital transformation and simplicity as the core design principle.
  • Track and report on work plans for new and enhanced capabilities, in collaboration with internal and external partners and maintain service level agreements with relevant functions and third parties.
  • Monitor and review Service Level Agreements (SLAs) of relevant teams to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor transaction patterns, investigate emerging risk areas and necessary mitigating actions.

  • Ensures compliance with Group and Country Operational Risk and Compliance standards.
  • Ensures risk management and adherence to all regulatory and governance standards for the continued sustainability of client solutions.
  • Ensures that the design and development of solutions are carried out within prudent conduct and market risk parameters.
  • Ensures adherence to escalation procedures for reporting and resolution of specific policy violations, regulatory violations, key product issues, and control failures or weaknesses.

Financial performance management:

  • Supports achievement of required financial and non-financial performance metrics for client solutions and managed partnerships in alignment with client solutions and client segment teams.
  • Identifies and optimizes profit opportunities for products and solutions through relevant risk/reward trade-offs.

Social responsibility:

  • Provides input into social, economic and environmental initiatives for client solutions strategy, culture and ways of working (e.g. financial inclusion, job creation and business development, infrastructure, trade and investment in Africa, skills and education development and employee development training).


  • First degree in any field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
