BITS School of Management (BITSoM), the Mumbai-based new age business school, has announced the formation of its Industry Advisory Board with the aim of achieving a high level of integration of industry into its curriculum and experiential learning components of the MBA program.

The board will further refine the design of the program and its relevance to industry needs and will also advise the B-School on the creation of executive programs on applied research initiatives.

The board members are all accomplished industry leaders and represent a range of industries and functional expertise.

According to Ranjan Banerjee, Dean of BITSoM, program relevance and experiential learning are two essential parts of their philosophy, and the board will provide valuable advice and ideas to help them achieve this ambition.

The role of the board includes:

  • Industry input and advice on specialty courses and the two-year MBA flagship program.
  • Help and advice on live projects, workshops and bootcamps that make up the experiential learning component of the MBA program.
  • Help with internships, internships and student mentoring program.
  • Advice and assistance on the construction of industry-specific and personalized executive training programs.
  • Applied research initiatives and partner laboratories of companies.

The board will meet quarterly and actively reflect on these matters.
