Now, the Kia EV6 isn’t the company’s first electric vehicle. The company has already sold models like the Soul EV, which are based on existing internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle platforms. The EV6, however, is the company’s first electric vehicle to be built on a dedicated EV architecture – Hyundai Motor Group’s Electric Global Modular Platform or E-GMP. This allowed Kia to offer increased cabin space compared to previous Kia electric vehicles based on the existing model architecture, which helped improve the overall experience.

The cabin itself has a sleek, futuristic design, which is dominated by two high-definition curved audio-visual and navigation (AVN) screens, each 12.3 inches. The graphics are very well done and the screens give you the right mix of information and connectivity. The section behind the steering wheel is the instrument cluster, while the one in the center is for infotainment and navigation. And below you get the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) settings with haptic buttons. As for the seats, Kia offers a set of slim, lightweight and contemporary-styled seats that are upholstered in premium fabrics created from recycled plastics.

The Kia EV6 also features a floating-style center console thanks to the dashboard that tilts towards the front of the car. It includes the on/off button, an illuminated rotary selector, a wireless phone charger and cup holders. Of course, you also get a center glove box with the top functioning as a center armrest. The EV6 also comes with a two-spoke steering wheel, which features a ton of on-board controls, including paddles to set desired regeneration levels and a button to select drive modes. A head-up display or HUD is also offered.
The Kia EV6 electric crossover will arrive in India via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route and will be priced above ₹50 lakh, possibly in a single fully charged trim. The electric vehicle is expected to go on sale in India next month.
